There are only NINE DAYS left to enter into the Jillian Zamora Photography giveaway — so exciting!
This January I was sitting at my desk editing a wedding and literally found myself moved to tears at how thankful I am to have this job and how gracious the Lord has been to us in allowing us to do what we love with people we adore. I’m so looking forward to what will come in 2013. There is something about the fresh outlook and anticipation a new year brings and I wanted to share some of my 2013 giddiness by giving away a full day of wedding photography coverage by yours truly and my handsome second-shooter (aka my super-talented husband, James). We are hoping to reach out to brides and grooms all over the world who are planning a wedding day that will be filled to the brim with heart.
Weddings can be on any day of the week — it does not have to be on a weekend to be eligible.
JZP (meaning myself and James) will deliberate over the entries and announce the contest winner on February 28th. We’ve already been loving reading over all of the heartfelt and detailed stories and envisioning all of the fabulous future weddings from the couples who have already sent their entries in!
Top 3 runners up will receive a significantly discounted rate for JZP wedding photography services.
There will be prizes in the form of a free photo session for the person who refers the winning couple/wedding to us — so please share, share, share the giveaway on Facebook, Instagram, via word-of-mouth, email, carrier pigeons — you name it!

Oh dear! I almost forgot to blog this gem of a wedding from late October! I’m so glad I realized my mistake so that you call could take a peek into Trina and Toby’s delightful Denton wedding day that started off at the Little Chapel in the Woods.
Here you catch a glimpse at Trina and Toby’s first look to kick off our portraits before their ceremony.
I was tearing up right along with Trina as she opened her wedding day present from Toby — a journal he wrote in for her during the last 40 days leading up to the wedding. On the back inside cover he wrote, “Not the end . . . but the beginning.” Good job, Toby.
Toby wore Beatles cuff links for his mom, and carried Trina’s grandfather’s pocket watch.
I so enjoyed getting to steal Toby and Trina away for a few minutes of sunset portraits before we all headed to the reception. I love, love getting to photograph my brides and grooms right smack-dab in the middle of sweet newly married moments.
We snuck out of the reception for a few portraits of Trina and Toby working it with their get-a-way car before the big send-off.
I’m so happy for you, Trina and Toby! Thank you for trusting James and myself with documenting your wedding day.
Morgan describes herself as more of a city girl.
Chance describes himself as a full-fledged country boy.
Morgan wanted Chance to feel represented by their engagement session location — so we met up in the small town of Gustine, Texas the day after Thanksgiving for some photos in the country.
This next spot is pretty cool — my uncle tipped me off to this house for real built in 1900 out on some property owned by some family of ours. I went out before the shoot to scout and showed Morgan and  Chance the place and they were all for shooting here. Huzzah!
Oh yes, and there was that time that I asked them if they wanted to climb up into this hayloft and they totally did. That was pretty cool.
To end the shoot, Morgan and Chance brought out some holli powder . . . ya know . . . just to see what would happen . . .
And this was what happened. A holli powder fight between a country boy and his city girl.
I’m so pumped for y’all’s June wedding!
