Prepare yourselves, because I might accidentally use a lot of exclamation marks in this blogpost.
Joey and Sabra are good friends of James and mine, and have been for quite a while. They actually just had their BABY GIRL this December and she is sooooooooo precious!! I may or may not have had trouble letting James hold her when we went to visit ONLY because I wanted to hold her the ENTIRE time we were there. We’re SO excited for our dear friends. (If you keep going to the end of the post I might treat you with some pictures of us holding sweet little Stella.)
It was my pleasure to take some maternity pictures for Sabra and Joey in November, and here are a few of my favorites from the set.
Joey is the worship leader for the 9:31 service at First Baptist Burleson (James actually plays bass with him in the worship band) and music has always been a huge part of who he is. Therefore, his biggest request for the shoot was that it include a piano.
After working that 8 ft x 8 ft space by the piano for all it was worth, we headed outdoors for a few more shots.
Isn’t she so CUTE?!?!
B-e-a-U-ti-ful people.
(Our friend Jennifer made that super-cute yarn “S’ for Stella)
And now for some (low-quality) photos taken on my iphone during our first visit to see Stella!
I’m already itching to hold her again this Sunday! Congratulations, Joey and Sabra. Welcome to the world, Stella!
Happy December 28th, everyone! I hope you all had the merriest of Christmases. It’s been such a busy season with lots of traveling between mine and James’ families and limited internet access but I’m so pleased to get back to blogging and ESPECIALLY with this particular engagement session.
Shayla and Matt are of the outdoorsy persuasion so Shayla’s vision was for a camping engagement session. It was just SOFUN working within this vision and I’m SOPLEASED with the resulting images. It helps that Shayla and Matt are just so. dang. cute. together.
Shayla, you are for-real stunning.
And what kind of camping-themed session would it be if they didn’t build a fire and make some s’mores?
Shayla and Matt, I’m already so excited for your wedding! October cannot come fast enough.
Tabitha is a student at Aveda Institute Dallas and wanted some photos for her portfolio before she moves to NEW YORK next month for a salon internship! I was pumped to get to photograph something a little bit more fashion-y, and had a lot of fun with it.
Enjoy looking at a few of the shots from Tabitha’s portfolio session from late October.
The above shot is actually Tabitha herself! I didn’t want to send her off to New York without an updated headshot!
Bah! This look was so fun and definitely my favorite. Believe it or not, this model is Tabitha’s little FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD niece. She definitely rocked it out for the shoot.
Goodness gracious, I’m just so excited for you in this upcoming adventure, Tabitha! I wish you all the best in New York!
