Hello, lovelies!

Well, I’m taking deep breaths and pushing through my mountain of editing through the end of the year. I’m looking forward to some rest in January — a new year during which I can change the things about my business that need changing and put into effect the lessons I’ve learned in this first year of professional photography.

But know that I’m thankful.

I’m thankful for this first year. For the first year steps. The first year mistakes. For the first year triumphs. Even the first year tears.

I know that I sound like a parent looking back on their child’s first year — but I guess that is essentially what I’m doing.

There will be more time for reflection and thanking as I move into the new year, but a small taste of it tonight won’t hurt anyone.
