Um, hi.
I shot Carri and Matt’s wedding this past May.
The wedding was BEAUTIFUL but even beyond that I just straight up adore this newlywed couple.
In turn, that means I also adore their family.
Funny story — every single time Carri and Matt has scheduled me to take photos them it’s been cloudy, dreary and rainy. Their engagement session was rained out. Â It rained during their wedding ceremony. Â And it actually sprinkled just a bit during this family session.
Some people might take this as a sign that we’re not meant to work together but we just take it as license to take photos with awesome cloudy skylines.
Yeah. Y’all look awesome under clouds, Strom family.
Thanks for letting me work with y’all again — rain or shine (but-more-than-likely-rain) I just adore you guys!
I first met Jennifer, Jacob and their pups at their photo session last fall and had such a great time reconnecting with them this October in downtown McKinney.
Jennifer, your eyes are out-of-control gorgeous.
Hope to see this little family again next year for round three!
Oh dear! Yesterday I actually went one post into October before I realized I almost missed posting this beauty of a September wedding that I had been waiting to photograph for over a year now. Brenna and Josef are vivacious, gorgeous, and ridiculously in love — which made them very fun to work with.
We started the day off at Denton Bible Church for the ceremony, followed by their evening reception at Hubbard Hall at Texas Women’s University.
The photos James took of Josef helping his nephew/ring bearer get ready are precious and among some of my favorites from the day.
Brenna is a confessed hairspray fanatic so these two photos are a truly accurate portrayal of her wedding day getting ready process.
Brenna and Josef had an interesting wedding day set-up that left us with a couple of hours between the ceremony and the reception for family, wedding party and bride-groom portraits.
Some of Brenna and Josef’s high school letters to each other were displayed at the reception — such a dear, personal touch.
Brenna and her dad definitely did a surprise choreographed mash-up dance at the start of the reception to start things off. Hil.ar.i.ous.
Congratulations, Brenna and Josef! I’m ever so happy for you guys!
Here’s the thing: It was kind of (entirely) grey/drizzly/rainy on the weekend Jessica and Jimmy came down from Houston for their engagement session.
To top that off, Jessica herself was feeling a little bit under the weather.
Few things could have made this type of setting bright — but we had the Texas State Fair.
And cotton candy.
And a darling couple like Jimmy and Jessica.
Bah! Â Jessica, you are all kinds of adorable. I honestly can’t even imagine how adorable you must be when you’re 100% healthy.
They sat down to play a game and Jimmy for real won a stuffed puppy for Jessica! ‘Atta boy, Jimmy!
You guys, I’m so excited to meet up with y’all again at your June 2013 wedding. Rain, shine, or somewhere in between, I know it’s going to be absolutely delightful!
