Brace yourselves for the prettiest little peplum dress and the darling bride rocking it.
Many thanks to Brewed Fort Worth for the pretty backdrop it provided for this portrait session.
After shooting Kylie and Mac’s Stonegate Mansion wedding this March, I ended up receiving multiple social media comments saying that this couple looked like “my type of couple” and their wedding looked like “my type of wedding.” I enjoyed that this was so evident, because it really couldn’t be truer. Kylie and Mac are so much so my ideal clients that on several occasions during their bride-groom portraits I found “I LOVE YOU GUYS,” just involuntarily spilling out of my mouth. Sorrynotsorry.
I can’t pinpoint it exactly but perhaps part of what draws me to them is the genuine that comes with them. That’s right, I used “genuine” as a noun — just go with it. It comes out in their facial expressions, exudes from their postures. They lived their wedding day instead of letting the day or the traditions run them over. They never got lost in it. I love it when that happens and I do just love Kylie and Mac. There, I said it again.
So here’s the deal, Kylie loves, loves this tree. In fact, her plan was to get married underneath it but rain was forecast for their wedding day, so the ceremony was moved inside Stonegate Mansion but we decided to have the first look unfold under the tree if weather permitted. Well, we made the weather permit because even though it was sprinkling ever so lightly, the leaves of the tree were so dense that as long as Kylie and Mac were underneath it, they stayed dry. So while Kylie didn’t get married under the tree, it was the place she got to see her groom for the very first time that day — yay!
Y’all, I cannot handle how Kylie and her parents are all making the exact same facial expression in these next two images. SO CUTE.
Kylie’s father convinced them to serenade us with the last song and these two musicians so kindly obliged. It was the best thing ever.
Thank you, Kylie and Mac. It was such a joy getting to know you both in this season. Just, thank you.
If you know a single fact about any given member of the Williams’ family, it would probably be that they’re a family of runners. They run day in and day out. Just running all over the place, those Williams.
So when the time came for Tim to graduate from high school and he approached me with integrating running into his senior portraits, it just fit. I love the resulting photos from our shoot back in February and couldn’t resist sharing a few on the blog. Enjoy!
Ashley and I became good friends in high school. I’m talking sleepovers, debate team, got each other in trouble for laughing too hard in class, zoolander photos galore — I mean, THE WORKS. Â Ever since then I have not been able to help but love this beautiful, highly sarcastic, red-headed, loyal, hard-working, fiery friend of mine.
Saturday I had the honor of photographing her wedding and today I have the pleasure of sharing a few of my favorites from her bridal session this month. Ashley, you’re such a babe.
