JZP New Year Wedding Photography Giveaway — winner announcement

Wow.

It’s been such an exciting experience getting to read through all of the JZP New Year Wedding Photography giveaway entries. I feel like (via e-mail) I’ve met so many excited couples with awesome personalities really pumped about their upcoming wedding days and how photography is going to fit into it. Entries came in from all over DFW, Central Texas, Florida and North Carolina and James and I were up until 2:30 a.m. this morning painstakingly trying to select the winner and runners-up for the giveaway. It was such a difficult process.

In the end, four couples, four stories, and four wedding day visions resonated with us most so we selected one winning couple and three runners up  — and here they are!

Maddison and Christopher’s Dallas wedding is set for July of this year and we were attracted to their style, their wedding vision and venue, their attention to detail and their dedication to photography.

Congratulations Maddison and Christopher!

And now for the runners up who will receive discounted booking rate for their wedding days:

Kelsey and Roland’s New Braunfels wedding is in September. Kelsey was one of the very first entries I got in after announcing the giveaway so I could tell she. meant. business. about it. The way she so sweetly described her fiance and her outdoor, twinkle-light filled wedding and her guests with personality made me so excited at the possibility of working with Kelsey and Roland.

Cathryrn and Brian’s story is what sold me on these two, and their clever promise to love each other “in sickness and in sickness.” Throw in this couples AH-mazing wedding day vision complete with a clear-top tent, swooping fabrics and life-size lawn games and you’ve got me and James on board. Their wedding is set for May 2014 in Keller, TX.

I could tell from the proposal video that Megan sent over of Jacob serenading her in a full-on, homemade Three Amigos costume that these two were filled with personality. I loved how recently-engaged Megan so deeply valued photography and wanted it to play a huge role in her McKinney Cotton Mill wedding next May.

I will be sending all of the runners up an e-mail filling them in on their discounted rates — so be looking for that soon!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to every single couple who entered.

I appreciate you.

I loved reading your stories.

And I hope we all get an opportunity to work together sometime in the future!

X’s and O’s!
