blissfully engaged, Itzel and Miguel

Meet Itzel and Miguel.

I’m actually catching up on my blogposts, so I’m just now sharing their engagements on the blog . . . four days after I shot their wedding! (To see sneak peeks from their wedding day, visit the Jillian Zamora Photography facebook “like” page!).

We started out their engagement shoot where their relationship began — in the second pew, on the left-hand side of  Iglesia Bautista Getsemani.

It’s where they were first introduced to each other.

This is also the exact place Miguel proposed.

And last Saturday, it’s where they got married. Well, not in the second pew. But it was well within sight.

Next, Itzel and Miguel brought out their favorite books — Miguel’s stack included fiction and sci-fi and Itzel’s showed her love of Spanish and medical science.

They both love reading, just not the same topics as the other . . .

Next we headed down to Sundance Square to highlight Itzel and Miguel’s wedding venue but FIRST we highlighted their love for movies.

Alright, I know what you’re thinking.

Actually, I have no idea.

This scenario developed with Miguel suggesting we integrate his star wars figurines into the session in some way. Itzel was not going to leave that suggestion without a girly counter so she decided she wanted to throw a tea party into the mix.

What we ended up with was a Star Wars tea party — a Miguel and Itzel original fusion.

We ended inside their favorite Starbucks — their favorite date spot.

I don’t think I could have possibly enjoyed this personalized session more.

And I know I couldn’t be happier for these two. Together.

I love that picture of the books and one’s turned upside down and the other’s about Return of the Jedi and they’re both confused.
