Ashley and Albert got married on a beautiful October evening in Gainsville — and I’m so pleased James and I were there to document it all taking place.

I recently blogged Ashley and Albert’s engagement photos and talked about how these two laughed through their entire session, and their wedding day was no different. Except for on this day, I was able to see where these two get their jolly nature. They are surrounded by family and friends who were so delighted by the day’s festivities, they were laughing right along with the bride and groom from start to finish.

We noticed a little too late why it was a wee bit, um, warm in the bridal dressing room . . .

Ashley and Albert planned to a special time into their wedding day for a first look — a moment to see each other before the ceremony and have some quiet moments together before the hustle and bustle of the day really got going.

After bride-groom portraits we moved into photos with their beautiful wedding party.

We were finished in time to tuck Ashley and Albert away from guests arriving for the ceremony.

I just thought it wouldn’t be true to the ceremony if I didn’t include the moment when the best man was rewarded for swiping a bee off of the bride’s shoulder mid-ceremony.

So. much. birdseed. So much.

I honestly don’t know how Albert managed to get it all out of his hair before the reception, but he surely did.

After dinner, we indulged in just a few more bride-groom portraits right as the sun set — this time as newlyweds!

Ashley and Albert, y’all are among some of the loveliest people in my book.

Thank you for letting us be a part of the day y’all became Mr. and Mrs. and for being so, so great to work with.

There is something very dear about having a photo shoot to commemorate one’s first married home before moving into the next, and that is what this shoot was all about.

Scott and Elise are packing up their lives and their business and moving to Austin in less than a month now, but not before having some photos to remember the home they’ve lived in since their wedding in April.

You see, there are all sorts of life events past the engagement and wedding that are worth having documented, and Scott and Elise are the type of people who live life fully enough to cherish moments like these.

I love shoots like this — sweet, personal, and homey.

DFW will miss y’all, Scott and Elise. But I’m sure Austin will be more than happy to welcome you in.

I am so in love with these photos of the Wilson family.

Sure with two little ones the photos have a very small chance of coming out posed. But I think that’s what I love so much about them — they’re real.

Look at that pretty little family! I always get so especially connected to repeat clients, so you can imagine how connected I am to the Wilsons at their FOURTH session with me in the two years that I’ve been in business. At our first session Abby was just a little baby!! And Carter has grown up so much!

Those beautiful golden curls are killing me, Amanda.

Also, you and Joey are just flat-out adorable.

Eye. Lashes.

Carter for real cracks. me. up. in these two photos. I think I may have guffawed when I first saw them.

Darling, darling, darling.

Oh man. I just so enjoy taking photos for your family, Wilsons.

You guys, Trina is an absolute DOLL. She’s sweet as can be and has to really work hard to make any facial expression that involves toning down her infectious smile. That’s just her natural facial expression: big-‘ol’smile.

All this to say, I think she’s wonderful and here are some of her bridals to prove it.

OH YEAH and her dress had ruffles upon ruffles. Add that to my list of  reasons to adore Trina.

And if you think Trina is beautiful-smiley-delighted in her bridal photos — just you wait until I post the ones from her wedding day. Her newlywed smile takes her happy face to a whole new level.
