Jonathan wanted to surprise his wife, Brista, with a photo session to document their love and family as they are now, in their fourth year of marriage.

So that’s what we did.

Jonathan and Brista had fallen in love with this little old church near Allen and decided they’d like to have some of their photos done inside. I love shooting in different environments so I jumped on the idea.

Jonathan is a worship leader at their church, so of course we had to take a couple of musically inclined photos too.

This sums up the Mayfields at this point  — each other and their lovable pups.

And when we started toward the next spot, my heart went pitter patter. I just love how these next set of images turned out.

Dude, Brista, I am LOVING that pop of color you added with your scarf and earrings. Well played, well played.

Yah, okay, Gorgeous.

Jonathan and Brista — I had such a great time documenting the fun you guys have together.  I wish you infinitely more happy years of marriage.

There is something very dear about having a photo shoot to commemorate one’s first married home before moving into the next, and that is what this shoot was all about.

Scott and Elise are packing up their lives and their business and moving to Austin in less than a month now, but not before having some photos to remember the home they’ve lived in since their wedding in April.

You see, there are all sorts of life events past the engagement and wedding that are worth having documented, and Scott and Elise are the type of people who live life fully enough to cherish moments like these.

I love shoots like this — sweet, personal, and homey.

DFW will miss y’all, Scott and Elise. But I’m sure Austin will be more than happy to welcome you in.

I am so in love with these photos of the Wilson family.

Sure with two little ones the photos have a very small chance of coming out posed. But I think that’s what I love so much about them — they’re real.

Look at that pretty little family! I always get so especially connected to repeat clients, so you can imagine how connected I am to the Wilsons at their FOURTH session with me in the two years that I’ve been in business. At our first session Abby was just a little baby!! And Carter has grown up so much!

Those beautiful golden curls are killing me, Amanda.

Also, you and Joey are just flat-out adorable.

Eye. Lashes.

Carter for real cracks. me. up. in these two photos. I think I may have guffawed when I first saw them.

Darling, darling, darling.

Oh man. I just so enjoy taking photos for your family, Wilsons.

Um, hi.

I shot Carri and Matt’s wedding this past May.

The wedding was BEAUTIFUL but even beyond that I just straight up adore this newlywed couple.

In turn, that means I also adore their family.

Funny story — every single time Carri and Matt has scheduled me to take photos them it’s been cloudy, dreary and rainy. Their engagement session was rained out.  It rained during their wedding ceremony.  And it actually sprinkled just a bit during this family session.

Some people might take this as a sign that we’re not meant to work together but we just take it as license to take photos with awesome cloudy skylines.

Yeah. Y’all look awesome under clouds, Strom family.

Thanks for letting me work with y’all again — rain or shine (but-more-than-likely-rain) I just adore you guys!
